Forthcoming Wilco Book To Include CD Of Unreleased Material

Workaholic veteran rockers Wilco will spend the better part of this fall on tour in support of their latest effort, A Ghost Is Born. After much anticipation, the extensive North American tour finally kicks off next week in Columbia, MO, and doesn’t finish up until November 22 in Salt Lake City. Along the way, Wilco will be sharing the stage with a number of great acts, as they’ve tapped Calexico, Joseph Arthur, the Fiery Furnaces, Deerhoof and Carla Bozulich as support acts.

With all of this excitement, you might think that the band might take a breather from releasing new items for their legions of fans to snatch up. Actually though, you’d be wrong. The band has yet another offering slated for release before year’s end, a collection of essays, quotes about the band, photos, and other tidbits of info, simply titled, The Wilco Book. The book will also come packaged with a 12-track, 40-minute CD of unreleased material culled from the band’s rehearsals for A Ghost Is Born. Both full songs and instrumental jams will be featured. The tracklisting is as follows.

01. “Pure Bug Beauty”
02. “This Is New”
03. “Diamond Claw”
04. “This Is New (The Explanation)”
05. “What Good Am I”
