The Return Of Duran Duran

While bands like The Killers have helped spawn an 80’s revival, it is great to see the real deal back in action. No band perfected the 80’s synthpop sound better than Duran Duran, and they are back. On October 12, the band will unleash their brand new album entitled Astronaut. This album marks the return of the original lineup, which is the first time they have recorded together since 1983’s Seven and the Ragged Tiger. Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Andy Taylor, and Simon LeBon are together again. Judging from the lead single “(Reach Up For The) Sunrise”, this is not a repeat of Medazzaland. This is eyeliner, Aqua Net, arena tour era Duran Duran. The upcoming months are filled with American TV appearances for the group, starting with a performance on Good Morning America on October 12th. Time to brush the dust off that Members Only jacket, squeeze into that pair of parachute pants lurking deep in your closet, and rock your ass off.
