Beck Album O-Delayed

In true slacker style, the new album from Beck has been pushed back to early 2005. Originally slated for October 26 of this year, the follow up for 2002’s amazing Sea Change sadly is not yet completed. Due to Interscope’s upcoming heavy fall release schedule, including albums from U2 and a Nirvana boxed set, the label is waiting for calmer waters before releasing Mr. Hansen’s triumphant return. With the Dust Brothers and Tony Hoffer taking on producer duties, this is sure to resemble his work on Odelay and Midnight Vultures. The as-yet-untitled record features a collaboration with Jack White of the White Stripes, which has the potential for greatness. Working song titles have included “Guero”, “E-Pro”, “Scarecrow”, and “Chain Reaction”. To get some fresh Beck before next year, he appears on The Late, Great Daniel Johnston: Discovered Covered, which hits stores on September 21.
