Libertines Looking For Fan Footage

The Libertines are looking for some help Bob Saget-style. The band’s label has posted a message on the official website looking for fan footage from over the past three years to be included on a new DVD. It is expected to include all the band’s videos from their debut album Up The Bracket and self-titled new release. The website, www.thelibertines.org.uk, has a post from James Endeacott of the band’s label, Rough Trade Records, that reads:

“Hello there…. We’re putting together a Libertines DVD. Does anyone have any footage of the band taken over the last 3 years? Walking down the street, playing live, drinking tea, anything. Please let me know via email and we’ll take it from there…”

In addition to the music videos and “funniest home video” potentials, the DVD is rumored to include behind-the-scenes film and live footage taken from the band’s now infamous three night residency at London’s Brixton Academy back in March. Let’s not even mention Pete Doherty’s amateur “fan appreciation” video that’s floating out there (wink, wink).
