XM Launches Online Radio Service Next Month

XM Satellite Radio has announced plans to launch a new premium internet radio service in early October. XM Radio Online subscribers will get access to XMs acclaimed music channels (all 100% commercial free) and other specialized programming (news/talk/traffic) for a monthly fee of $7.99. If you’re already an XM Satellite Radio subscriber and you feel the need to get the internet service as well, you’ll only pay $3.99 a month. XM has partnered with Dell Computers to help launch the new service. Beginning in mid-October, Dell Inspiron notebook and Dimension desktops customers will receive an exclusive, free 30-day trial subscription to XM Radio Online.

Interested parties can sign up for the internet service here.

XM is the country’s largest satellite radio service with more than 2.1 million subscribers (including myself).
