New Lemonheads Album On The Way

The Lemonheads are writing a new record… and there was much rejoicing. This will mark the first album from the 90’s alt icons since their 1996 album Car, Button, Cloth. The college radio darlings developed a cult following with songs such as their cover of “Mrs. Robinson”. Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando has kept himself busy over the years, trying his hand in acting, performed on other artists’ recordings, and released a solo album in 2003. He was recently providing vocals for D.K.T/MC5’s tour, but decided to throw in the towel so he could focus his efforts on the new Lemonheads record. On his official website, Dando said, “”I want to tell you all what a great time I had singing with D.K.T/MC5. After doing 42 shows I decided to leave the tour. I need to finish writing the next Lemonheads record. The MC5 tour inspired me greatly and I’m now ready to get back to working on my own music.”
