Ex-Smashing Pumpkin/Zwan frontman Billy Corgan will release a collection of poetry tomorrow (October 1) through Faber & Faber publishing. Called Blinking With Fists, the hardcover book takes a deeply personal look at issues like love, loss and loyalty. “I think the poems have their own personality and are a lot closer in spirit to me as a person, as opposed to my song lyrics, which I believe deal more in pieces of me,” said Corgan. The rocker-turned-author is currently at work on his first novel, but he’s taking some time off for a 14-city book signing tour beginning October 12 in San Francisco. All book signings are open to the public on a “first come” basis, says a release from Corgan headquarters. Those of you that want to stop by a poetry reading will, however, have to fork over some dough to gain entry. See below for book tour info.
