Scissor Sisters Write For Kylie

As New York’s Scissor Sisters continue to take America by storm, they have already begun work on the follow up to their self-titled debut. According to NME, the inspiration for frontman Jake Shears’ recent surge of songwriting is the lovely Kylie Minogue. Scissor Sisters recently penned the song “I Believe In You” for Minogue, which got their creative juices flowing. Shears told NME, “Writing for Kylie and preparing for that, you just come up with a bunch of stuff that works even better for you. That was a great opportunity for us to get a lot of ideas out and we came up with some really great choruses. There’s lots of bits and parts that I think are really great.” Word from the Scissor Sisters’ camp is that they are hoping to release a new record by fall of 2005.

If you happened to miss the Bee Gees meets Elton John on ecstasy live show from Scissor Sisters, a winter tour has just been announced.
