Graham Coxon To Kiss And Make Up With Blur?

Nothing is better than make-up sex, right? So get ready for some serious foggy window action in the pretty boy Blur camp. Graham Coxon is reported to be returning to the band he quit in 2002 during the making of the Think Tank album. He reportedly met with the band last week for talks says the Daily Mirror. A source said: “The meeting went well – probably better than any of them expected. It’s very positive for everyone and Graham will still be able to do his solo work as well as working with the band again.” That’s good news for loyal britpop fans who weathered Coxon’s four meandering solo albums while he was still in Blur and one, this year’s Happiness In Magazines, after the split. Do the U2 “get-back-to-your-roots” thing.

But was this eventual reunion always in the cards? Pulling a Nostradamus, Blur frontman Damon Albarn was quoted in 2002 as saying, “Graham will always be the guitarist in Blur… I’m sure there’ll come a time when we’ll make music again together.” To which a year later Coxon replied: “If that’s true then why was I un-invited to the studio when I was in Blur? I’m not particularly interested in progress in that area at the moment.”

Ah, love is in the air.
