Sleater-Kinney Join Forces With Sub Pop

Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker, and Janet L. Weiss, the trio we lovingly know as Sleater-Kinney, have found a new home on Sub Pop Records. According to the official SK site, they will begin work on a new album with uber-producer Dave Fridmann. In a message posted on their site, they said: “On November 5th, Sleater-Kinney will begin recording a new album with producer Dave Fridmann at Tarbox Road Studios in rural New York. We will spend much of November and December working on the record, with hopes of releasing it in late spring/early summer 2005.” Fridmann, who seems to have the golden touch of King Midas, is also currently producing the new Low record.

For those of you in the NYC area, Sleater-Kinney will be performing a New Year’s Eve show along with Wilco and the Flaming Lips at Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday, November 5th through everybody’s favorite, Ticketmaster.
