We’re learning more about a Kangaroo captured by animal control officials Tuesday in Port St Lucie, FL. First, it isn’t your average Kangaroo, and second, it may have a famous owner. Two callers to the Port St. Lucie Animal Control tell officers that the 60 pound animal belongs to Vanilla Ice, nee Robbie Van Winkle. The rapper has not come forward to claim the animal. Meantime, animal experts say the animal is actually called a Wallaroo. It’s a large breed of Kangaroo that sports reddish hair. For now, the marsupial nicknamed Captain Kangaroo is still in the custody of animal control. If no one comes forward to claim Captain, he will be turned over to the Wildlife Conservation Commission.
