Of all the members of Radiohead, who would have thought that the shy, reserved Jonny Greenwood would become a movie star? The band’s multi-instrumentalist and guitar genius is said to be making an appearance in the upcoming Harry Potter film. According to NME, Greenwood and Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker will have a cameo role as a group of witches called the Wyrd Sisters. Just the thought of Cocker and Greenwood appearing on the silver screen at the same time is enough for Britpoppers around the world to spontaneously wet themselves. I just did.
As previously reported, Cocker is also signed up to write the score for Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. The Sun believes that he may write the music under his alter ego Darren Spooner, which is the name he used while in the band Relaxed Muscle. Even Franz Ferdinand is rumored to be contributing music for the film. All they need to do know is to cast Thom Yorke as Harry Potter , Damon Albarn as Professor Snape, sprinkle in some Gallagher brothers cameos, and we’d be set.
