White Stripes DVD Supported By Select Theater Screenings

On December 7, The White Stripes will release their first DVD, a 75-minute live documentary of their January 2003 show at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, England. The film, called Under The Blackpool Lights, was directed by Dick Carruthers, who has also captured such greats as The Stones, Zeppelin and Oasis in action.

Two days after the DVD’s release, there will be 13-city theater screening of the film that will include footage not available on the DVD or anywhere else. Tickets to the screenings will be available with the purchase of the DVD or through various giveaways at radio, the band’s website or select Urban Outfitters locations. Fans will be able to purchase limited-edition vinyl and a limited-edition T-shirt at the screenings. These items will not be available anywhere else. Read on for details.
