Ian Brown To Record Lost Stone Roses Track

Although this is a far cry from a Stone Roses reunion, at least devoted fans will get to hear a “lost” song from the band’s past. According to NME, Ian Brown is re-recording the Stone Roses song “Where Angels Play”, which was previously only available on a compilation. It will be used as the b-side for his next single “Time Is My Everything”, which will be released on January 17. It isn’t much of a surprise to see Brown re-recording a Stone Roses track, as he has been performing older material as part of his live sets this year.

Brown has his eyes set on the US for 2005. His latest solo album Solarized will finally get a domestic release on February 22. Koch will also be re-releasing his earlier solo album in the states, including 2001’s Music Of The Spheres. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a possible tour later on next year. In the meantime, make sure you check out Brown’s collaboration with Mani on the song “R.E.I.G.N.”, which is on UNKLE’s latest album Never, Never, Land.
