Queen To Reform And Tour In ‘05

Legendary rockers Queen are planning to reform and tour next year, guitar god Brian May has revealed on his official website. So who will fill in for Freddie Mercury? None other than Paul Rodgers of Free and Bad Company fame will be taking over the white spandex jump-suit. “It really all came about because of the Fender 50th Anniversary gig that I did with Paul Rodgers,” reads the statement on May’s website. “We were both so amazed at the chemistry that was going on in ‘All Right Now’, that suddenly it seems blindingly obvious that there was something happening here.”

According to NME, a UK tour is a definite, with a European leg and world tour both currently under discussion.

Queen drummer Roger Taylor is a definite for the reunion as well, however, bassist John Deacon is still a question mark.

Personally, I think Queen made the wrong choice of new frontmen. Electric Six frontman Dick Valentine is a much better choice. Check out the band’s latest video for their cover of Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga” and you’ll know what I mean.
