UK Sensation The Charlatans Ink New Deal

The greatness known as The Charlatans have begun work on their ninth studio album recently. This is great news since the band has also recently inked a deal with Sanctuary Records.

NME reports that Joe Cokell, CEO of Sanctuary Recorded Music Worldwide, said: “The Charlatans are one of the key influential British bands of the past decade who have combined critical acclaim with strong album sales, backed up by sell out live performances to a dedicated fanbase. I am delighted to welcome the band to Sanctuary and look forward to working with the guys and management on their first Sanctuary release.”

Steve Harrison, The Charlatans’ manager, added: “We are thrilled with the prospect of working with the Sanctuary Group. In a difficult market…it’s great to be at a company which is clearly bucking the trend and successfully expanding into marketplace opportunities that come with change. Sanctuary is clearly an obvious home for The Charlatans. A company with great heritage, a superb roster and an open mind with refreshingly global aspirations… nice to be part of the brave new world.”

As for the new album, expect to wait until the fall later this year. For those fans that would like a taste, head over to their website to get a free download of “Alles Klar”.
