Ah-HA! Alan Partridge Coming To BBC America

Here me now and believe me later, Alan Partridge is the shit. Hyperbole in full effect! You will be using his “ah-HAA!” catch phrase like a broken record in no time. Why it has taken so long to get this show on American cable TV is beyond me. Played by comedian Steve Coogan, I’m Alan Partridge is on par with The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm, if not better. The entire back catalog of the show is about to start airing on BBC America in March and April and if they know what they are doing, a DVD of the series should follow ASAP. Maybe he missed a while back with the tank that was Around the World In 80 Days with Jackie Chan, but this will surely put Coogan in the same league as Ricky Gervais in the States. Don’t forget, he played Tony Wilson in the movie 24 Hour Party People so he has a mini base here. “People like Ben Stiller and Steve Martin are big fans of the series. Ben told me he bought an English format DVD player just so he could watch the show”, sayeth the future star.

It may have taken a few years, but this is so worth the wait. 19 episodes of pure genius. Check here for more on Alan.
