Kings Of Leon Prep For Winter Trek

On February 22, Kings Of Leon will drop the rock & roll bomb on the masses when they release the follow-up to their acclaimed 2003 debut Youth And Young Manhood. Their sophomore release, Aha Shake Heartbreak will once again make its way to stores via RCA, but unlike the last effort, don’t expect to hear a band as clearly rooted in the classic rock sounds of the South. Though clearly Southern at heart, the album is devoid of the encyclopedia-like southern rock lead guitar riffs. Instead, the band ventures out on their own, creating something even more original, impressive and daring than their debut. Already a smash in the UK – Aha Shake Heartbreak debuted at #3 upon its release and has since been certified Gold, while their first album is nearing double-platinum in sales – Kings Of Leon are coming home to do what they do best, play live.

Always exciting and dynamic performers, Kings Of Leon will embark on a North American tour at the end of this moth. Expect to hear a majority of new songs, as well as all the fan favorites from Youth And Young Manhood. The trek kicks off on January 25 in Seattle and anticipation is already running high. Here’s an example: The band was only scheduled to play one show at the Roxy in LA on January 29, but it sold out in three hours. Fear not though LA fans, a second show has been added on the 30th.
