The hugest rock band in the world and the godfathers of pop/punk are among the first acts to be confirmed for the 47th annual Grammy Awards. U2 and Green Day are both nominated for awards as well – Green Day is up for six, while U2 is up for three. According to Billbaord, other confirmed performers include country star Tim McGraw and R&B phenomenon Alicia Keys.
