I knew anticipation was high for the return of electro pop godfathers Erasure, but this is borderline insanity. Having sold out their first FIVE scheduled dates at Irving Plaza in a matter of hours, Erasure has decided to add FIVE MORE, for a total of TEN shows in a row at the New York City venue.
Vince Clarke and Andy Bell (aka Erasure) will see the release their latest masterpiece, Nightbird, today (Jan 25) via Mute Records. The album is already being held in high regard amongst critics and is sure to be just the thing to help ease their fans through the rough winter season.
Erasure’s tour begins April 14 in NYC. Tickets are $40 advance purchase or $50 day of show. However, judging from their expediency of the sold out status of the first five NYC gigs, I don’t imagine many $50 tickets seeing the light of day.
