Oh Pete. Why must you continue to stay in trouble? Do you love being in the tabloids daily? Is that your real addiction? He steals, he stalks, he smokes crack and he has been a busy boy lately. Pete Doherty started off the New Year on the gossip pages with his brief “relationship” with supermodel Kate Moss. The weeklong romance, or whatever you want to call it, was ended by Moss via a text message. What a shock!
First he gets dumped, and then he gets put in the slammer. According to NME, Doherty has been arrested on suspicion of assault and robbery. The story goes that there was an altercation between Doherty and documentary maker Max Carlish at the Rookery Hotel in Clerkenwell. Carlish is known for his documentary about Doherty, which included scenes of his use of hard drugs. The filmmaker was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a black eye.
About the incident, Carlish told the BBC: “I’m feeling bloody battered, but I’m bowed and I feel sorry for Pete. My heart goes out to Pete, he has screwed up big time now. Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if in three weeks time he’s hanging on the end of a rope in a jail cell somewhere. I do not want that to happen, so I’m not going to press charges.” As of this morning he was still in custody. We can only hope that Doherty gets himself straightened out.
