New Interpol, ASH, Blonde Redhead EPs Released Through Indie Retailers

Today, while Best Buy and Wal-Mart are opening up crates of Kenny Chesney, Leann Rimes and Kelly Clarkson CDs, independent retailers all over the country will be stocking their shelves with three new import EPs from some of indie rock’s finest acts. Interpol, ASH and Blonde Redhead have each made a new EP available for sale exclusively through indie retailers for under six bucks (suggested retail $4-$6).

Interpol’s contribution is a five-track EP that includes their new single, “Evil”, and UK-only b-sides “Song 7″, “Leif Erikson” (Zane Lowe BBC Session), “Narc” (Zane Lowe BBC Session) and “Evil” (Zane Lowe BBC Session).

ASH will precede the release of their highly-anticipated album Meltdown (out March 8) with the Commando EP. The EP, which is not wearing any underwear, features the songs “Meltdown”, “Clones”, “Evil Eye” and “Tinseltown”.

Blonde Redhead’s The Secret Society Of Butterflies EP, previously available only in the UK, includes “Messenger” (with David Sylvian of Japan), the non-album track “Tons Confession” and alternate versions of “Melody” and “Misery”. It even has enhanced videos for “Equus” and “Melody”.
