Robbie Williams vs. Pete Doherty

The proverbial line had been drawn: It’s me or him! Former pie eating “fat dancer” Robbie Williams has threatened to quit the Brits if rock & roll nihilist Pete Doherty shows up. Ultimatums rule! The Robster fears he will lose publicity if the Babyshambles singer, addict and former Kate Moss boy toy is at the televised ceremony at Earls Court, London on Thursday. Brits’ organizers have bent over backwards to get Robbie on board for the show’s 25th anniversary, but The Sun claims they also want Doherty there.

A show insider told the paper: “Robbie has said in no uncertain terms, ‘It’s me or him’. Robbie believes that he is the star and Pete should not be invited. He was hoping to grab all the headlines with a show-stopping performance of ‘Angels’.” Robbie will be performing the song, which is in the running for a special best song gong award.

Meanwhile, Doherty has been spending the last six nights in London’s notorious Pentonville jail after an alleged attack in a hotel lobby. Not his first time in the clink, swapping cigarettes to deter man rape must have a charm to it for ol’ Pete.

Biggie vs. Tupac + tea and crumpets – US interests = Robbie vs. Pete.
