All right gang, the first initial listing of bands to perform at this year’s SXSW Music Festival has been announced. After perusing the massive page of artists, I can finally say that I am thankful that I am going this year. It has been three years since yours truly has made the journey to the festival and it looks like this year is going to be a great one. From Adem and Aqualung to West Indian Girl and yourcodenameis:milo, some of the world’s finest bands are being corralled to the live music capitol of the world for a week of Shiner Bock beer, BBQ and rock & roll. The UK is having a strong presence this year with Bloc Party, The Stands, Idlewild, Maximo Park, Dogs Die In Hot Cars, I Am Kloot, Kasabian, and too many others to list. Start resting up now, as there will be little time to sleep during the week of March 16th. So polish up your belt buckles, get out your ten-gallon hat and get ready to rock your ass off. T-minus one month until blast off…
