Oasis Name Album, UK Comes To Standstill

Putting album title rumors to rest, Oasis have finally announced the name of their freshly completed new album. Called Don’t Believe The Truth, it’s their sixth studio album. First single is to be called “Lyla”, as revealed on NME.com “I’m happy with every track on the album,” so says Noel Gallagher with usual pre-album pride. Describing the single, Noel says, “It’s the Who, ‘Lyla’ was specifically designed for pogoing.” As to who who will be drumming for the band when they start touring, I wonder is Zak Starkey will remain in the band?

If selling out Madison Square Garden is any indicator, the buzz on this record is back to the halcyon days of Oasis with Bonehead on power chords and Guigsy on lead spliff. Don’t let us down, lads. You’re three and a half minutes away from “Wonderwall” money. Remember those days?
