One of the more under appreciated UK acts, Embrace, are set to capitalize on their recent mini tour us the States and SXSW appearances with a supporting slot for “Run” and “Spitting Games” upstarts Snow Patrol. For those unfamiliar with Embrace, these guys from Leeds are the perfect mash up of Oasis and Coldplay long before “Chris Martin and co.” became everyone’s fave bedwetting student band. Think epic, well-crafted anthems and quality piano and emotion drenched ballads without all the Debt reduction scribblings and better hair. Their first record years ago was to come out on Geffen just as the Polygram/Universal merger went through, so it didn’t get the attention it needed and they’ve been playing catch in the US ever since. Great songs, awesome live show, and just all around appreciative “aw shucks” lads you’ll like from the get go. UK Rock fans watch for this incredible double bill.
