Foo Fighters and Coldplay Headline This Year’s WHFStival

We spoke about this last week, but here are some updated details about this year’s HFStival, now in it’s 16th year. First off, they are still around as a station and not just a channel on AOL radio. Sorry about that Lisa Worden, WHFS program director. The well-publicized format change on the original WHFS frequency occurred this past January. The Legendary HFS is now broadcasting evenings and weekends on Baltimore’s “Live 105.7″(FM). D.C.s loss is Baltimore’s gain. And secondly, we had some of the bands on the bill, but not all, and maybe a few wrong ones. Ah, the interweb. Sometimes the ol’ cut and paste bites you in the ass. Location and date are still Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, May 14, and we still remain stoked, as in the original piece, that the festival is still running despite the changing face and formats of radio.

The press release we got today has the bands on this year’s bill:

Foo Fighters
Coldplay
Good Charlotte
Billy Idol
Garbage
Echo And the Bunnymen
Social Distortion
The New York Dolls
Sum 41
Interpol
They Might Be Giants
Louis XIV
Unwritten Law
Jimmie’s Chicken Shack
The Bravery
Citizen Cope
The Stereophonics
