Danish rock outfit The Raveonettes will release their third full length album (or second, depending on if you count 2002’s Whip It On as an EP or LP), on May 3. Titled Pretty In Black, the album finds the band abandoning their mono-key approach to song writing in favor of playing songs in many different keys. The result is an more dynamic sounding record which is clearly the best of their career. To coincide with the release of the album, The Raveonettes will embark on a massive spring tour. Thirty-eight dates in all, the tour will begin in New York City with back-to-back dates at the Mercury Lounge on April 26 and 27. They’ll then head out across the US and Canada, hitting major and secondary markets along the way before wrapping up with three dates at LA’s Spaceland on June 14-16. For all the details, read on.
