White Stripes New Single Info Leaked

Details surrounding the White Stripes new single have been leaked, although it may have been an accident. On the duo’s UK record label website, it was announced that the track will be called “Blue Orchid”. The information was posted yesterday and promptly removed late last night.

There is still no confirmed release date, although there are plenty of rumors that the track will be out prior to their Glastonbury appearance on June 24. As previously reported, the new White Stripes album was cranked out in less than two weeks. Recorded in his home, Jack and Meg White averaged about one song per day. About the recording process, a friend of White’s told NME: “They’re working at their usual pace, but to finish an album in this time is impressive nonetheless.”

XFM has an image that is rumored to be the cover art for the single. Click here to see it for yourself.
