Kasabian Guitarist Injured At Glasgow Concert

It seems that concertgoers in Glasgow have forgotten an important part of rock & roll etiquette. It is perfectly acceptable to throw soft items such as flowers, t-shirts, bras and panties on the stage during a performance, but hard and/or sharp objects should not be hurled at the band. Sadly, Kasabian’s Sergio Pizzorno was struck in the head by a bottle, causing the guitarist to receive six stitches for his injury.

In response to the head wound, Pizzorno told the BBC: “It’s such a shame the actions of one person put an end to our best gig all year.” He then encouraged fans to “throw bras and knickers from now on”.

Kasabian was scheduled to perform in Manchester on Sunday evening, but a doctor told him he would be unable to continue with the concert. If you feel the need to throw items at the band during their upcoming US dates with Oasis, please stick to stuffed animals and undergarments. Pizzorno would greatly appreciate it.
