Young American Recordings To Release Orange Park, South

Young American Recordings is a brand new venture from partners Rocco Giordano and Josh Swade. The New York-based label will get the ball rolling with the release of NYC rock outfit Orange Park’s latest effort, Songs For The Unknown, on July 12. Distributed in North America by Navarre, Young American Recordings has another trick up their sleeve as well, the standout UK rock outfit known as South. YAR’s Giordano comes from Kinetic Records, where he was the director of A&R. When Kinetic shut down, it left South without a label in the US and Giordano wisely snatched them up for his new label. A release date for the band’s third album has yet to be determined, but it will be out at some point in 2005, according to a label spokesperson.

Though YAR is currently focused on rock music, they hope to branch out in coming years and recruit a genre-spanning roster of innovative new music.

Orange Park will playing an NYC gig tonight @ Sin-e.
