Now that Jack and miss “you had me at hello” have parted ways, it seems The White Stripes have nothing but time on their hands. They recorded an album with typical blazing speed, played some gigs in Central and South America and are now setting their sights on the US. Though their new album, Get Behind Me Satan, will be released next week, The White Stripes won’t kick off their US tour until August 6. The 19-date trek will stretch through August 31 in Chicago where the band will finish up a three night stand at the beautiful Auditorium Theater. They’ll have multiple night stays in a few other markets as well, including two nights in Vancouver and Minneapolis and four nights in Los Angeles.

Before the official tour gets underway, the White Stripes will play a couple of one-off music festivals in Atlanta and San Diego. For all the details, read on.
