The Cloud Room have been making waves for a while here in New York. Crowded shows, setting the CMJ, FMQB and Tripwire charts on fire, wrapping up their first video, and making fans one at a time. Pretty soon the rest of the country will get to see them make their magic happen in person. They have announced a few dates with Benzos hitting Los Angeles, Ohio, and various spots on the east coast. In addition to these North American dates, the boys will also be hitting up London. If you are not in one of the below cities then fear not! The fine folks at WOXY, WCYY, WFNX, and WXPN are taping live performances that will be broadcasted online and on the air.
If you are still in the dark as to what the Cloud Room sounds like then where the hell have you been? Just in case though, their lead singer, J, says, “Our biggest influences are David Bowie, The Velvet Underground and the old German band Can. I love the melodies of Lou Reed, The Kinks, The Beatles; and I love the rhythmic innovation of bands like Can, Sly Stone, James Brown, Joy Division. The 80’s is just one of FOUR decades that we take our influences from.”
