Bloodshot Turns 10, Celebrates With Sinfully Good Compilation CD

Beloved Chicago indie label Bloodshot records will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year with a two-disc compilation of bad ass proportions. The compilation, which is tentatively titled For a Decade Of Sin, will feature artists on the current label roster, artists who were on the roster in the past, and artists who were never on Bloodshot at all. The majority of the compilation will be made up of unreleased and newly recorded material from artists like Alejandro Escovedo, My Morning Jacket, The Waco Brothers, The Minus 5, Hank Williams III, Crooked Fingers, and Bloodshot alumni Ryan Adams and the Old 97’s. “Our first release ever was a compilation, and it was just a snapshot of the Chicago scene at the time,” Bloodshot co-owner Nan Warshaw told Billboard. “We hadn’t signed any of those artists when we put that out, so we’ve never felt the need for our compilations to be a sampler of our artists or even a retrospective.” Look for For A Decade Of Sin in October.
