Glastonbury’s Stone Roses “Reunion”

Some have called it a Stone Roses reunion, which may be a stretch, but Ian Brown did in fact perform onstage with his former bandmate Mani at Glastonbury. It is ironic that just a week ago Mani made it clear that he would not be performing with Brown, which was either to keep it a surprise or just to screw with us. Either way, the two did reunite for a few songs as an encore to Brown’s solo set.

NME reports that the huge crowd experienced Stone Roses gems including “I Wanna Be Adored”, “Sally Cinnamon”, “Waterfall” and “Made Of Stone”. So the question is, does this count as a reunion? In this Britpop fanatic’s opinion, I’d say not quite, but Glastonbury fans definitely got a treat… and I am jealous.
