The Manchester rock group Oceansize has been holed up in the studio working on their sophomore full-length album, titled Everyone Into Position. The new album was recorded with producer Dan Austin, who has also worked with The Cooper Temple Clause and Doves. The first single off the new record will be “Heaven Alive”, which will be released in the UK in mid-August on CD and 7” vinyl.

If their recent Music For Nurses EP is any indication as to the sound of the upcoming album, we are in for a real treat. If you have yet to hear this brilliant group, make sure to check out their debut full-length Effloresce. It is damn good. They somehow capture the best parts of Pink Floyd, Tool and Tortoise, making for some of the finest rock around. Keep Oceansize on your radar for 2005!
