B.R.M.C. Rev Up For Cross Country Tour

Prior to the street date of their third studio album, Howl, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will take to the open road for a 19-date US tour in support of the release. Beginning in the band’s home town of San Francisco on August 12, the tour will stretch all the way to the east coast and back again to wrap up on October 8 in Los Angeles. Howl will be released on August 23 via RCA Records and, as we’ve said before, it’s quite a departure from the band’s previous work. Gone are the days of electric guitars and Jesus & Mary Chain comparisons. Here are the days of traditional American roots music, acoustic guitars, slide guitar riffs and more soul than a Dr. J-style afro. Having spent a great deal of time with Howl, I can safely say that it’s one of my top 5 albums of the year thus far. Shocking? Perhaps… but wait until you hear it!
