Although not too much information is available yet, we do know that new tunes from Boards Of Canada are on the way! The Scottish duo of Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin have completed their new album, which is being called “classic Boards.”
The follow-up to 2002’s Geogaddi was produced by themselves and will hit stores in the US on October 18th via Warp Records. The label has said that the album is “very much classic Boards, building on themes and sounds that can can be heard in their intervening remix work for Beck, cLOUDDEAD and Boom Bip.”
It is always a treat to get new music from Boards Of Canada, so needless to say we are thrilled. Once the album title and tracklisting have been confirmed, we will pass along the info.
