The Charlatans UK Begin Recording Ninth Studio Album

Although very few details are available, it is worth reporting that The Charlatans UK have begun work on their ninth studio album. Yes, you read that correctly… their NINTH studio album. It seems just like yesterday when I picked up my copy of Between 10th & 11th after hearing “Tremelo Song” on my local alternative station. Remember those days?

According to the band’s official website, they began recording last week at Hook End Manor Studios in Oxfordshire with producer Jim Lowe. Bassist Martin Blunt reported: “There’s 14 songs that we will record during this session. With everybody being around 24/7 we’ve found inspiration to embellishing these formative tracks.”

Songs such as “For Your Entertainment” and “N.Y.C. (There’s No Need To Stop)” may be included on this upcoming album.
