Editorial: Warning – Playing Video Games Can Kill You

Now, we all know that playing video games will make you kill OTHER PEOPLE, just ask Hillary Clinton, but did you know that playing video games can now kill YOU too? Sadly, it’s true. Last Friday, a 28-year-old South Korean man died in an Internet cafe. Cause of death… gaming. Yes, simply playing a video game caused this man’s life to come to a premature screeching halt. Sure, the Korean man, identified only by his last name, Lee (insert your own joke here), had been playing the battle simulation game Starcraft for 49 straight hours with no sleep and very little food, but there’s no warning on the game that stated, “Warning: playing Starcraft for more than 48 hours and 59 minutes can cause death.” How irresponsible can the gaming industry be!? These evil and horrible electronic death traps are a menace to society and should be outlawed just like high powered assault rifles and sub-machine guns (what…? those are still legal?).
