The epic trio known as Doves have announced a new wave of North American tour dates for this fall. The dates are still in support of Some Cities, which came out stateside earlier this year. The month long tour will begin in Boston on September 12 and will manage to hit thirteen states and several festivals including the Download Festival, Austin City Limits, CMJ Music Marathon, and Across The Narrows. On the non festival dates, Doves will be playing with Longwave, Marjorie Fair, and VHS or Beta, depending on the city. Some Cities debuted the British Album Charts at #1, and has been garnishing praise over here as well. (Pitchfork said it was “The band’s darkest and prettiest music to date.”) Tickets are already available for some of the dates, and others will go on sale this Thursday and Friday.
