Naughty girl Liz Phair is said to be releasing a new album titled Somebody’s Miracle on October 4. To coincide with the launch of the new record, Phair will embark on a headlining tour of North America, which kicks off on October 6.
As for details on the new album, the press is already talking about it. According to a feature in New York Magazine, “”Liz Phair doesn’t need your stinking ‘indie cred.’ She’s not nostalgic for her bad-girl years. And she’s back with her best album yet. She is thinking about more than hooking up on this album; she is writing about stuff that is (even) more interesting than sex”. Is this a new direction for Liz? I guess we will have to wait and see. In the meantime, Phair will begin shooting a video for “Everything To Me”, the album’s first single, with director Phil Harder.
