Apples In Stereo Work On New Album, Look For Label To Put It Out

Denver’s indie pop veterans Apples In Stereo are currently in pre-production on a new album and will start tracking the basics at Trout Studios in Brooklyn with Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Evan Dando) in September. The as-yet-untitled album will be the band’s first since 2002’s Velocity Of Sound (spinART). Apples are currently without a record deal and are looking for someone to step up and help bring their joyous pop sounds to the masses. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller…?

In other Apples In Stereo news, their song “The Rainbow” is the next pop gem to be featured in the HP “Pictures” ad campaign, which previously utilized the smooth sounds of The Kinks’ “Picturebook” and The Cure’s “Pictures Of You”. The ad has already begun airing, so keep your eyes peeled.
