Robbie Williams Readies “Mini-Gangster Opera”

Lock up your daughters, girlfriends and wives, as Robbie Williams is back on the prowl. Just when you thought it was safe, Mr. Williams is back with a new studio album. The man that many claim marked the end of Britpop has been preparing his latest batch of tunes in a Los Angeles studio. Details of the new album have been posted on his official website, which has announced that its title will be Intensive Care. The UK release date is set for October 24, which will be preceded by the single “Tripping” on October 3rd.

So what can we expect from lil’ Robbie this time? He has referred to the album as “something like a mini-gangster opera”, whatever that means. Whether he is referring to Dick Tracy-type gangsters, or perhaps hip-hop “gangstas”, we will soon get to experience what two years of continuous songwriting has spawned. C’mon… deep down you know that you are excited!
