Bella Union Joins Forces With The World’s Fair Label Group

UK label Bella Union has announced a new partnership for its US operations. The World’s Fair Label Group, the North American home for labels including Wichita, Echo, Definitive Jux and Pias, will now handle releases from the critically revered Bella Union as well.

The forward-thinking UK label was founded by members of the Cocteau Twins in 1997, and is now being run by their former bassist Simon Raymonde. Over the past few years, Bella Union has released music from the Dears, Explosions In The Sky, Laura Veirs, Lift To Experience, Dirty Three and Midlake.

Early 2006 will bring us the first releases under this new partnership, including full-length albums from the Czars and Midlake. When you add this to World’s Fair’s current batch of artists, such as the Cribs and Morcheeba, they are rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with!
