Sinead O’Connor Channels Marley, Tosh, On New Album

A woman in need of no introduction, Sinéad O’Connor, will release a new album on October 4 via her own record label, That’s Why There’s Chocolate And Vanilla. Called Thrown Down Your Arms, the album finds O’Connor covering a collection of ROOTS Reggae classics from the ’70s. The legendary Sly and Robbie production team lent their skills to the album, which was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica in the spring of this year. O’Connor will be touring in support of Throw Down Your Arms this fall, beginning November 28 at First Ave in Minneapolis. The tour will hit cities across the Midwest and East Coast before wrapping up with back-to-back nights at NYC’s Webster Hall on December 8 and 9. Read on for details.
