War Child Compilation Tracks On Sale Tomorrow

Today is the day that artists ranging from Radiohead to Bloc Party are getting down to business in recording studios around the globe for the upcoming War Child benefit compilation. Participating bands have one day to complete their tracks to be included on Help: A Day In The Life. The sales will go towards raising money and awareness for the War Child organization, which was established to aid children suffering in war torn areas.

The new album will be recorded and ready for online purchase all in 24 hours, which will be available at warchildmusic.com. The downloads will be available tomorrow, while a physical CD will be for sale in the UK beginning September 26 on Independiente.

The list of bands contributing is pretty amazing, which includes Antony & The Johnsons, Belle & Sebastian, Bloc Party, The Coral, Damien Rice, Elbow, Emmanuel Jal, The Go! Team, Gorillaz, Hard-Fi, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Faultline, The Magic Numbers, Manic Street Preachers, Maximo Park, Mylo, Radiohead, Razorlight, Tinariwen and The Zutons.
