With Fashion Week, CMJ and a United Nations summit all in New York City this week, you’d think that New Yorkers and visitors would have plenty of things on their agenda. Well, in case you didn’t know already, there’s one more event of note definitely worth mentioning. The 9th annual global film festival and multi-media event, RESFEST, is kicking off today at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Running through Sunday, September 18, the event will bring with it not only film expositions of various sorts (features, short films, videos, etc), but studio tours, seminars, panels, live music from Hot Chip and Simian Mobile Disco and a keynote from director Stephane Sednaoui.
