Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Van And Gear Stolen

As if the Brian Jonestown Massacre really needed an extra dose of drama to their already unstable and chaotic world, they got a heaping helping of it when their gear was stolen Sunday night. In a post on their official website’s message board, it has been reported that all of the band’s equipment was ripped off, along with their van and trailer, which was parked in Brooklyn. This happened before their set at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom, which caused them to scramble to find some equipment so the show could still go on. So now the band is without instruments and transportation. For our NYC-area musicians, keep an eye out in pawnshops and other places that may sell used instruments for a bunch of new arrivals, as they very well may belong to the band.
