Morrissey Records “Balls-To-The-Wall” Rock Album

The Mozzer has wasted no time hopping back into the studio to record his next album. Yes kids, Morrissey is already hard at work on his follow-up to 2004’s You Are The Quarry. For the new album, Moz relocated to Rome, where is he recording in soundtrack legend Ennio Morricone’s (The Good The Bad And The Ugly) former studio. This also happens to be in the gothic catacombs of a seventeenth century church.

So how will the as-yet-untitled record sound? According to XFM, Morrissey’s publicist said it is the “most full-on rock record Morrissey’s ever done. It’s a balls-to-the-wall rock record, not a slow one like the last one.” Balls to the wall? There is a joke in that somewhere, but I am so not going there. So get ready to throw those devil horns up in the air, as Moz is ready to get his rock on.

The new album is nearly completed, with a tentative release date set for spring 2006.
